August asked you to make decisions. September is going to ask what you did with them.
After two eclipses and a shift in the lunar nodes, the sky settles. There are no eclipses in September, which makes the month considerably more reliable for deciding than August was. The Sun moves through six Gates, the Earth always tracks the opposite pole, and the pressure moves gradually from the head down through the weeks.
The September 2026 transits begin in the head and end in the body, with the emotions in between. This article follows each of these six windows along with that week’s astrological context, and at the end you’ll find a reading specific to your Energy Type.
What these transits activate in you
The Sun in your Chart shows what you give outward. It is your essence, the theme that occupies your conscious attention during each window of time, and what others recognise in you without you needing to explain it.
The Earth shows the counterweight that grounds you, the balance that keeps your feet planted while you live out the Sun’s theme.
When we talk about transits, we’re talking about the sky in motion over your birth Chart. For a few days, Gates that exist in everyone’s design become active, even when they aren’t defined in your own personal Chart.
Every Gate has a partner on the other side of the channel, its harmonic Gate. If you have that partner in your Chart, the channel completes itself during the transit and the activation is felt more strongly. A Gate you don’t have in your Chart is always felt more intensely than one that’s already yours, because it comes from outside and passes once the transit ends.
September has a particularity worth keeping in mind before you read the rest. In three of the six windows, the Sun and the Earth both land within the same energy Centre. The first time is in the Crown Centre, midway through the month the pressure shifts to the Solar Plexus Centre, and in the equinox week it settles in the G Centre. Whenever this happens, the whole week concentrates in a single area, and what you feel becomes sharper than usual.
The forecast that follows tracks the six windows of the September 2026 transits, always with the Sun and Earth pair as the focus, cross referenced with the wider movement of the sky.
Until September 3: the Gate of Recovery (Sun 40 / Earth 37)
The month inherits the window that opened on August 29, with the Sun in Gate 40 and the Earth in Gate 37. These two Gates form the Channel of Community between them, so during these days the Sun and Earth pair closes a complete channel in the sky, something that only happens once this month.
Gate 40 sits in the Heart Centre and brings the energy of stepping away to restore what you’ve spent. It creates the urge to work hard and to generously share the result of that work. The wear and tear arrives when you give more than you have and don’t ask for support in return, often because you always seem to have everything under control.
On the other side, Gate 37 deals with the table, the family, and the small agreements that keep people together. After a noisy August, it’s natural to feel drawn back to the people you’ve always known and to want to get the house in order before the month properly kicks off.
Saturn remains retrograde in Gate 21, also in the Heart Centre, and Mars moves through Cancer at a tense angle to it. The practical question of these days is about control. What is genuinely in your hands, and what you keep trying to control without any result.
On September 4, at 08:51, the Moon reaches its last quarter, with the Moon in Gemini. This phase usually calls for concretisation. If August gave you clarity about a direction, these days are for handling the calendar and the numbers instead of continuing to feed the concept.
September 3 to 9: the Gate of Confusion (Sun 64 / Earth 63)
” width=”395″ height=”243″>
On September 3, at 21:58, the Sun enters Gate 64 and the Earth enters Gate 63. Both land in the Crown Centre, and this is the only week of the year when the Sun and Earth pair settles entirely up there. The practical consequence is easy to recognise. The head fills up.
Gate 64 is the pressure of making sense of a constant flow of images and memories passing through your head with no order at all. Accepting that state before the order appears is part of the process. If you force the mind to resolve the data through a specific method, you increase the confusion and the anxiety at the same time. Let the scenes pass until the message of the film becomes clear, and when that happens, share it with someone. These realisations ask to be shared in conversation before they ask for any action.
In Gate 63, the Earth brings doubt. It is the readiness to question what seems uncertain until it can be understood, and it is an essential ingredient of the logical process. The risk appears when you turn that doubt inward and apply it to your life and your choices instead of using it to examine the pattern in front of you.
There is a detail in these days that changes the texture of the week. Mercury enters Gate 47 on September 3, a few hours before the Sun reaches Gate 64, and stays there until the 6th. While that lasts, the Channel of Abstraction is complete in the sky, between the pressure of Gate 64 and Gate 47’s capacity to organize the images into a story with a beginning and an end. It is the best window of the month for writing down what’s on your mind.
Mars enters Gate 53 on September 3 and adds pressure to begin. Notice the combination. You feel the urge to launch into something while your head is still organizing the material. If you can, write first and launch afterwards.
September 9 to 15: the Gate of Realization (Sun 47 / Earth 22)
On September 9, at 17:06, the Sun enters Gate 47 and the Earth enters Gate 22. The confusion of the previous week now meets the one who organizes it.
Gate 47 lives in the Ajna Centre and does the work of an editor. It takes the collection of loose images and tries to assemble them into an experience that makes sense. You won’t see the full picture straight away, and it’s natural to swing between different interpretations of the same event. For a few days it might even seem like things are getting more complicated instead of clearer. If you can step back and trust the process, the moment of realisation eventually arrives. The care to take is resisting the pressure to act on every intermediate conclusion.
In Gate 22, the Earth brings emotional openness through listening. This energy has a charm that draws people in when the mood is right, and a considerably less sociable side when the mood shifts. Honoring those swings is part of living it well. During these days you’ll be on the receiving end of confidences, and your part is to listen until the other person finishes before you say anything at all.
The New Moon happens on September 11, at 04:26, exactly in Gate 47, line 2. This line speaks of aligning yourself with what resonates with you and letting luck show up through that path. After an August that demanded decisions, this is the first lunar cycle without eclipses in the mix and the best moment of the month to start something small and concrete.
A few hours earlier, on September 10 at 19:27, Uranus turns retrograde in Gate 20, the Gate of the now. Uranus usually brings sudden recognitions, and when it reverses its movement it turns that capacity inward. You may notice things about yourself that had been in plain sight for a long time.
Mars enters Gate 62 on September 12 and adds attention to detail and the urge to organize what had been scattered.
September 15 to 21: the Gate of Friction (Sun 6 / Earth 36)
On September 15, at 11:48, the Sun enters Gate 6 and the Earth enters Gate 36. With both settled in the Solar Plexus Center, the pressure of the month moves down from the head into the emotions.
Gate 6 generates the three forms of emotional awareness. Feelings and moods are born here, and so is sensitivity. Its job is to create friction, and that friction produces the heat that growth needs. It works like a diaphragm that opens or closes to intimacy and that decides with whom, when, and how far. If you feel friction with someone this week, consider that this friction may be marking the beginning of a coming closer together.
In Gate 36, the Earth works with the emotional crises that turn inexperience into lived experience. This energy points directly at the Throat Center, which means that what you feel is ready to come out in words. All it takes is someone or something pulling the trigger. Learning to stay steady while the feelings shift is the work of these days.
With the Sun and the Earth both in the Solar Plexus Center, this is the worst week of the month to decide at the peak of an emotion. If you have Emotional Authority, let the whole wave pass before responding to anyone at all.
The first quarter Moon arrives on September 18, at 21:43, and serves for checking on the state of whatever you started at the New Moon.
On September 20, at 03:30, Mercury enters Gate 57 and joins Uranus, which remains in Gate 20. The channel between the two is complete in the sky for three days. It is a period of quick recognitions, the kind that makes you say something out loud and only realize afterwards where it came from.
September 21 to 27: the Gate of the Body (Sun 46 / Earth 25)
” width=”471″ height=”290″>
On September 21, at 06:07, the Sun enters Gate 46 and the Earth enters Gate 25. With both in the G Center, the pressure descends again, now into the body and into identity. This is the most beautiful window of the month.
Gate 46 is the love of the body and the quality of life that can only be experienced through it. It brings the feeling of being in the right place at the right time, a luck that looks like serendipity and that actually comes from dedication to a cycle you carried through to the end. The warning of this Gate is clear. When you don’t respect the cycles and live in permanent crisis, the body eventually gives way.
In Gate 25, the Earth brings the love that is born from accepting the body and the life you have. It is a love without preferences, capable of loving a flower with the same depth as loving a person. The innocence of this Gate is always being tested. You come out of those tests with marks and with more trust in life than you had before.
Throughout this whole week, the south node occupies Gate 29, which is the harmonic partner of Gate 46. The Channel of Discovery is complete in the sky, and it brings the capacity to keep going well where others give up. The condition remains the same. Choose the right commitment and carry it through to the end.
The equinox happens on September 23, at 01:05 in Portugal, when the Sun enters Libra and autumn begins. It’s worth marking that day with something physical. A long walk works, or an unhurried meal outdoors.
The Full Moon arrives on September 26, at 17:49, in Gate 25, on the sixth line, with Neptune in the same Gate. It is the most interesting conjunction of the month. The Moon reflects everything you feel and Neptune dissolves the boundaries between you and everything else, so this night tends to bring a sense of belonging that needs no explanation. You made it through the whole of August. This is the moment to shake off the dust and see where you’ve landed.
To make this concrete, I’ll use my own example. I have Gates 25 and 46 in my Incarnation Cross, one on each side of the Sun and Earth axis. During these six days the sky passes exactly over them, inverted. Every year I notice the same thing in this week. The body starts calling the shots more than the schedule does, and the conversations I have become slower and deeper. I’ve learned not to book anything demanding between September 21 and 27, and to use those days to be with the people who are good for me.
September 27 to October 2: the Gate of Correction (Sun 18 / Earth 17)
On September 27, at 00:04, the Sun enters Gate 18 and the Earth enters Gate 17, and the month closes with a very different theme.
Gate 18 sits in the Spleen Centre and takes pleasure in finding what needs correcting. When you feel dissatisfaction with something in these days, there’s a good chance that thing has lost vitality. Underneath the dissatisfaction is a genuine concern for what keeps people healthy and living well with one another. This gift works very well when it’s directed at patterns and systems. Aimed at one specific person’s quirks, the result turns back against you.
In Gate 17, the Earth searches for the concept that can be trusted, the one that survives testing and criticism. You structure a response and feel the pressure to express it as an opinion. In these days you’ll form opinions about quite a lot of things. It’s worth checking that you have the facts before you present them.
Jupiter enters Gate 4 on September 27, the same Gate where the solar eclipse of August took place. If something was left unresolved that week, this is the moment it comes back with more room to breathe.
Underneath all the windows of the September 2026 transits, Pluto remains in Gate 41 and the north node in Gate 30. The channel between the two stays active in the sky until the end of November, and it is the starting point of all human experience, the desire that exists before any beginning takes shape. September is a good time to notice what that desire has been asking of you.
September 2026 by Energy Type
Beyond the general overview, it’s worth looking at the September 2026 transits through the lens of your Energy Type. The way you live through these six windows always depends on your Strategy and your Authority.
Generator
The first week of the month is going to fill your head with ideas, and none of them is an answer. Let them pass without following up on them, and wait for what shows up in front of you to respond to. The New Moon of September 11 is your best moment for starting something, as long as it arrives as a response to an invitation or a concrete question. In the Gate 6 week, between the 15th and the 21st, your body is going to react to people before you understand why, and it’s worth trusting that reaction. Save the last week of September for correcting what already exists instead of adding new things. Find out more about your energy in The Generator.
Manifesting Generator
Your risk in September sits in the first ten days. Gate 64 gives you plenty of mental material, and your natural speed is going to want to turn it into movement before the body confirms it. Respond first, move fast afterwards. Between the 21st and the 27th, with the Sun in Gate 46, the body starts being right about nearly everything. If you’ve been accumulating tiredness since August, this is the week it’s going to show up, and ignoring it costs you. Inform whoever is affected by your moves, especially in the last week, when you’ll feel the urge to correct things that involve other people. You can go deeper in The Manifesting Generator.
Manifestor
September gives you better conditions for starting than August did. Without eclipses in the mix, the field is more stable and your decisions tend to hold. The window from the 9th to the 15th is yours, with the New Moon opening space for you to launch into something you already had in mind. Inform before you move forward, especially between the 15th and the 21st, when the emotions around you are running high and your movement carries more impact than you imagine. The Gate 18 week is going to give you a strong urge to correct what’s wrong, and your opinion gains ground if it arrives before your action. See more in The Manifestor.
Projector
The week from September 9 to 15 is yours. With the Sun in Gate 47 and the Earth in Gate 22, your capacity to see the pattern others haven’t yet seen comes into focus, and people will tell you things without you needing to ask. Hold onto that information instead of handing it straight back as advice. The invitation arrives when someone recognises what you have to say. In the Gate 46 week, between the 21st and the 27th, rest properly and take care of the body, because the whole of September asks a lot of your attention, and that’s your reserve. Go deeper in The Projector.
Reflector
After an August with two eclipses interrupting your lunar cycle, September gives you back a complete and reliable cycle. If you’ve been holding on to an important decision, this is the month to make it, taking care to wait for the whole cycle of the Moon before closing it. Pay attention to where you are between the 15th and the 21st, because with the Sun and the Earth both in the Solar Plexus Center, you’ll amplify the emotional climate of whoever is around you. The equinox week always favours you. Find out more in The Reflector.
September takes you from the head to the body in four weeks. Reach the end of the month and notice which of the two was right.
